Caitlyn Early’s Grand Slam Caps San Marcos’ 20-0 Win over Santa Barbara

Caitlyn Early capped San Marcos’ 20-0 Channel League win over Santa Barbara with a grand slam in the third inning, her 12th homer of the year.
The Royals scored five runs in the first, three in the second, and 12 in the third, ending with Early’s slam, in the five-inning game.
Early also hit a double, and drove in the game’s first run with a groundout in the bottom of the first, scoring Emma Foster, who led off with a triple.
Foster, Gigi Gritt, Kamilah Morales, Charlotte Hastings and Tiana Monaghan all had two hits in the game.
Kate Guerra (three innings), Gracie Verdugo (one inning) and Vienna Mochi (one inning) combined for a two-hitter against the Dons.
The Royals are now 5-6 in league play. Santa Barbara drops to 0-9.
