San Marcos Pitcher Kate Guerra Shuts Out Santa Barbara in 11-0 Win

San Marcos starter Kate Guerra, with strong defensive support, held Santa Barbara scoreless for five innings, resulting in a run-rule shortened 11-0 Channel League victory.
The Royals secured the win with a seven-run third inning, with Bella Cruz, Guerra, Caitlyn Early, and Kamilah Morales contributing RBI.
Guerra gave up four hits in the five-inning game.
Emma Foster went 3-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base and three runs scored for the Royals. Early was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Morales went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
San Marcos travels to Santa Ynez Tuesday before beginning play in the Best of the West Softball Classic, hosted by Righetti, in Santa Maria, April 21-23.
